My Perfect Imperfections

Okay so I'm sure you guys have seen this tag around YouTube a lot and maybe even blogs, but I wanted to do it since I thought it'd be fun to embrace the imperfections that make us who we are!
(Even if we really dislike them and it's embarrassing)
If you don't know, I believe this tag was started by AndreasChoice on YouTube.

Basically You Tell:
3 Imperfections: Three things you don't like about yourself.
3 Perfections: Three things you do like about yourself.

So right off the bat I could think of several things I don't like about myself, but I narrowed it down to three that can bother me on a daily basis if I think about them.

Three things I don't like about myself.
Okay so I already have hooded lids, which can make eyeshadow kind of pointless on me since you don't really see it unless I close my eyes. But! On one of my eyes my lid (or the skin above my lid?) kind of "droops" down, pretty much like what Andrea mentioned. (Yes, I'm not alone!)
I don't think it's too noticeable in person but I notice it, especially in pictures.

Next, I don't like my nose. I feel like it's too round, which I also especially notice in pictures.

Thirdly, I don't like my teeth. I feel like no matter how often I brush them or what whitening tooth paste I use, they never want to be white. I don't mean that blindingly bright super white smile, but they're just always so dull and bleh looking. I'm thinking about resorting to crest white strips, actually. Also, they're definitely not straight. I'm pretty weird when it comes to teeth. I always point out nice teeth when I see them and my best friend would always be like "oh my god /facepalm" so it really makes me mad xD

Three things I do like about myself.
First off, I like my hair. I like it since I know if I do something to my hair, i.e, a bad hair cut, it won't take too long for it to grow out since it grows pretty fast. Even though it can be annoying when I get my hair cut and/or highlighted, and a month later you can barely tell it was cut and the highlights are grown out like an inch. But I like having straight blond hair. My hair has always been pretty soft, too.

Secondly, I like my size. My height I believe is considered average but I feel kind of short which I don't mind because I'm used to being small and I've grown to like it. I'm 5'4 and don't really want to grow any taller.
I'm also really tiny, weight wise, I weigh about 100 pounds but I eat a lot. Sometimes I don't like it cause I feel so weak with my noodle muscles.

Lastly, I like my eye color. My eye color changes between blue and green. Sometimes it'll be a green color and sometimes it'll be a blue. I notice it usually looks most blue in sunlight, and other than that it looks kind of gray. My mom said my dad's eyes would do that too, so I guess that's where I got it from since my mom has brown eyes. I got the recessive gene! Haha.

I want to tag Traci (drinkcitra) to do this tag. :D

Thanks for reading.

  1. Ooh how fun! I remember seeing these going around on youtube! Aw I really enjoyed reading this. It's so crazy how we really do have things that we don't like about ourselves. I like this because even though we have these "imperfections", we can still be proud of what we have and who we are! Thanks for the tag! I have to do some thinking for this one...hehe :D

    1. I'm glad you enjoyed it! It really is, especially when it's things other people don't or hardly notice. And definitely, no one is perfect and all of our unique "imperfections" make us who we are. (:
