Physician's Formula 2-in-1 Eye Booster Eyeliner

Today's post is a review on Physician's Formula 2-in-1 Eye Booster Eyeliner + Serum

I've never really called anything my "holy grail" item.. but I would definitely consider this my HG eyeliner.
(However, I will say this packaging isn't very picture friendly! Haha)

Price: $9 - $11 USD
Color: Ultra Black

This eyeliner has a brush-tip applicator. As you can see, it has a very fine point.
I think this is great because you have complete control over how thin or thick you want your line.
This applicator also makes it so much easier to do a winged liner, even if you have barely any experience. (Like me!)

It says it is:
"Hypoallergenic, Fragrance free, Paraben free, Dermatologist approved, and Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers."

Directions, Ingredients, and What It Claims:

I'm not entirely sure why they had the subjects use mascara in the images,
I think it would give a better representation showing the bare eyelashes.
Unfortunately, I can't really comment on the "lash boosting" ability since I don't wear makeup daily.

This eyeliner claims to be "24 Hour Wear" and though I'm not up to wearing it for 24 hours to challenge that, I have worn it for approximately 10 hours with no smudging of any sort. (With and without primer)

In my June Favorites post, I said that it wasn't entirely opaque on its own.
I was actually wrong about that. I tested it on its own with my fourth of July makeup, (see here) and it was very black and fully opaque.
However, I do get a very deep black when I wear another eyeliner under it (I also have to use less) and it makes the other eyeliner last just as long without smudging.

Testing:
This eyeliner claims to be water-resistant, but not waterproof.

(1) Here, I just applied it, so it was still kind of "liquidy" and was catching the light more.
(2) In image two, I turned on my faucet and held my hand close to the nozzle and let the water run over the swatches for about ten seconds.
(3) This is the eyeliner after it was run under water and I dried it off.
(4) This the swatches after I used water once again and began rubbing it.

Pros:
▪ Very black
▪ Long wearing
▪ Non-watery
▪ Sleek packaging
▪ Secure closing

Cons:
▪ None as of yet.

 Do I recommend it? Yes!
Would I repurchase? Definitely.
Rating: 5/5

Well, it's not really waterproof, just water resistant. I think it does a good job at that, though. (:

  3. Wow great review on this! I have just one liquid liner from Kat Von D's line and it's ok. This seems awesome. I think one of my HG items would be Urban Decay's pencil liner in Perversion. It's so long lasting! :D

    1. Thanks! Ooh, I've never tried anything from her line.
I really do like this liner though. Oh, awesome! I'm really interested in them since I got a free sample of one of their pencil liners in Mildew and it's soo smooth! I still want to try Milani's liquif'eye since I've heard they're similar. (:

  4. I've already bought my third one! I do use the PF eyeliner in conjunction with the Milani one if I really want an intense line, but really the PF is just fine on its own! The one thing I haven't noticed though is longer lashes from using it. I think it's just a bogus claim...

    1. Oh wow, how long would you say one lasts?
I still want to try the milani liquif'eye! But money is pretty tight this months so it'll have to wait. :(
Yeah, it's definitely good on it's own, and it really helps me when I try to do a wing. I haven't noticed either though, I don't use it daily.

    2. I use mine every day, so for me I'd say one liner lasts about 6 months? I stop using it once it starts to get sort of watery or the line looks more grey than black!

    3. Oh, wow. That's awesome since I don't use mine everyday.
      Thanks, Jayne!

    1. Thanks! I'll definitely put an update if I notice some type of difference. As of now I don't wear makeup too often so if it does do what it claims, I don't currently use it enough to get those results.

  7. Awesome review, Chrissy.

I'm going to go buy it and see. Have you tried using it on your tight line? Did it irritate your eyes?

  8. Thank you! I hope you like it as much as I do. (:
I actually haven't tried it, something about liquid liner on my tight line scares me a bit. Haha.
