My Halloween Inspired Nails.. so far

I've been anxiously awaiting October for a few reasons..
1. Disney Halloween movies!!
2. Halloween Inspired Manicures
and 3. Well, it's one month closer to Faraz coming to Florida.

I have a list made up of all the ideas I have for different nail designs that I want to do.. and at the rate I'm going I may need some new ideas. I've hardly kept them on for long at all because I'm so excited to try the next one! I know what you're probably going to think.. "It's the first day of October, what the.." but hey! I'm feeling festive, ok? Haha. Anyhoo! Onto the nails!

First off, Mummies.
They're a little messed up. I realized that I should have been doing it from a different angle since they're going a bit more upward than they should be. (I see you ring finger mummy.. who wrapped you?)
For this I used two coats of China Glaze Snow and L.A Colors Nail Art Striper in Black. For the accent red  mummy eyes (yes, that's right, even mummies can rock the accent nail!) I used China Glaze Hey Sailor.

Next, Eyes in the dark.
I thought this would be good for Halloween but I also thought it was so cute!
Looking back, I wish I would've done some half circle ones too for some evil looking eyes.
For this mani, I used China Glaze Liquid Leather for the base and pupils and Snow for the eyes.

Lastly, Stitches.
As much as I loved the little eye balls on my fingers, I thought this would be a fun idea to try out and I really love the way it turned out. Looks a bit creepier on camera but I find it really cute in person!
For this mani, which is what I'm currently wearing, I used Sinful Colors Why Not? and L.A Colors Nail Art Striper in Black

I kind of lied..
This final mani is inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness Month.. October!
It's not Halloween related but I still wanted to include it in this post since.. I mean, what's not scary about cancer?
Today also marks three years since my Dad passed away. (October 1st of 2009)
Not to turn this post all sad, but I realized I've never really mentioned it before.
I lost my Dad in 2009 to cancer so when I saw that October was breast cancer awareness month, like PCOS, I really wanted to do a manicure for it. Though I don't know anyone personally with breast cancer, cancer is cancer.
With that being said, no one get sad!

Also, again I'd like to show my appreciation towards everyone who has and is joining in on the Monday Blues Blog Hop. I also want to thank Traci and Jayne for agreeing to do all of this together. It was just an idea before you two said yes and actually made it something. Thank you both so much, not only for your support but your friendship too! ♥

I'm sorry about your dad, but you should be proud of yourself for remaining strong and being able to talk about it! My brother (age 24) has stage 3C cancer and all you can do is hope for the best!

Yeah, it's been hard but I know he wouldn't want me to be sad all the time so I try to stay happy for the most part, despite how much I miss him. (:
