Red Apple Lipstick: Oh My Guava & New York

Disclaimer: This post contains press samples.
Hi loves!
Today I have a lipstick review for you from RedAppleLipstick.com!
Red Apple Lipstick is devoted to creating safe makeup products formulated without parabens, gluten, lead, and soy. The lipsticks I'm showing and reviewing for you today are vegan, gluten free, allergen free, paraben free, cruelty free, corn free, and formulated without GMOs. (That's a mouthful, right? Good!)
I can really see how much the people behind RAL care about creating safe and beautiful makeup that women (and men) can wear without worrying about having a reaction. On top of all of the ingredients they make sure to avoid, and all of the high quality ingredients they make sure to include,  Red Apple Lipstick also offers a 6-Month Money Back Guarantee if you are dissatisfied with their product for any reason! Now that you have the technical stuff, let's get onto the pretty lippies, shall we?

The two colors I'm showing you today are New York (oh, how I miss the city..) and Oh My Guava!

New York is a brown based creme nude, perfect for those with warmer skin tones.
Oh My Guava is a pink-toned creme nude, but not too pink that it's no longer a natural looking lip color.

My personal favorite of the two is Oh My Guava, as I feel New York would work better on warm skin tones due to its orange undertones. Though they do look quite similar, their undertones separate their nude-y nature. ;)

Formula: The formula of these lipsticks is so creamy and hydrating, it really surprised me (since my favorite nude is a matte and can be tricky to apply on dry lips). I don't feel like I need to worry about applying a lip balm before using these lipsticks because the Vitamin E in them kind of does that for me!

Longevity: These lipsticks have a really decent longevity for not claiming to be long-wearing, to my knowledge. I wore Oh My Guava for approximately three hours without any touch ups (with lip liner) and didn't notice any fading in the color. Though, when it did start to fade (4-5 hours after application, during eating, drinking, etc) it was very gradual, it wasn't splotchy or smearing, which I have to give it an A+ for.

Scent: The best way I can describe these lipsticks is the old-fashioned lipsticks that I used to play with as a kid. (My mom's) It's not my preferred scent but they are formulated without fragrances so no, they don't smell like roses, but the quality makes up for that.

Price: $23.50
Here are the colors swatched side by side, as you can see, the undertones are what separate these two shades which personally I feel is great because they have nude options that flatter multiple skin tones. If you plan on buying one of these for yourself, I would suggest picking one that you like more/would be more flattering to your skin tone as they are pretty similar. However, if you're a makeup artist seeking nudes for your kit, I say these are must-haves!

I hope you all found this review helpful and for those of you who have trouble finding makeup that doesn't irritate you, definitely check Red Apple Lipstick out! They actually do sell more than just lipsticks so make sure you go take a look!
