DIY: Daily Motivation Notes

I usually have a hard time motivating myself, so while I was feeling kind of down, I came up with an idea that I thought would help motivate me on a daily basis with things I don't do but feel I should.
(Not claiming I 'invented' this idea)

I think this is a creative way to make little 'promises' to motivate yourself.

Basically, I decided I'm going to pick one out each day. I have little rules such as if I pick the same thing as yesterday, I can choose another. Not that I have to though.

This could be used for anything you want to motivate yourself to do, really.
Cleaning, exercises, make-up looks, different styles, blog post ideas, food recipes, really anything!

First, what I did was I took index cards and cut them into smaller pieces that were close to equal.
Then I wrote things I feel I should do more of to improve.
I put multiples of almost all of them, there's approximately 40 cards.
On mine, as seen above, I have things such as "Eat good snacks", "Read or listen to something motivational", "Make a goal", "Learn a new word", "Tidy Up", "Exercise", "Read inspirational quotes. Post one?", "Drink at least one cup of water" and things like that which I feel would improve my day and my health, mentally and physically.

Then, I folded them over twice to make them smaller. Folded one side towards the left, and then one towards the right. I put some pressure on top of them (you could use a heavy book) so that they stay shut and then find any jar or container you feel works.

Here, I used a small container.
As I said, I'm going to draw one out each day.
I'm thinking about posting each day's on Instagram.

I really encourage anyone who has trouble getting motivated to do something to try this, if you do, let me know what yours is centered around? I'd love to know!

    1. Oh! This also reminded me of something I saw before. I forgot exactly what it was for, but you have a bottle and every day you write something nice on a piece of paper and add it to the bottle...I can't remember what you write, but it's something like what you're doing!
