Guest Post: Lab Muffin!

Hi, I'm Michelle of Lab Muffin and Polish or Perish, and I'm filling in for Christa while she's away. Today I've got a manicure I did and loved recently - I love nail art, but sometimes I just want a quick, pretty layering combo!
OPI Live and Let Die is one of my favourite vampy shades - opaque in one coat with a cool microglitter finish, but I used two coats here because I'm a bit pedantic. Over this, I added some Nubar White Polka Dot, which has white hexes and little semi-transparent iridescent glitters with a faint tinge of red/green multichrome going on, that only really comes out when you layer it over a dark polish. Unfortunately the glitter isn't very dense, and the hexes are pretty annoying to get out of the bottle. It's pretty similar to OPI Pirouette My Whistle, but PMW has silver dust glitter instead of the multichrome bits. I'm not sure which one I like more - PMW is more versatile, but when the multichrome works, White Polka Dot is stunning. This manicure reminds me of snow falling on dark trees - something I don't get to see much, living in Australia!

Michelle has *almost* finished her PhD in chemistry. When she's not busy slogging away at her thesis or in the dance studio, she's blogging at Lab Muffin (http://labmuffin.com), Polish or Perish (http://polishorperish.blogspot.com) or Lacquerheads of Oz (http://lacquerheadsofoz.com), or buying too many beauty products. You can follow her on Facebook (http://facebook.com/labmuffin), Twitter and Instagram (@labmuffin).
I really love the simplicity and depth of this mani! I don't own it but Live and Let Die looks like such a gorgeous polish and I love the glitter Michelle layered over it! Thanks so much for guest posting! You can follow Michelle and her lovely nails at Lab Muffin
