Parian Spirit Professional Makeup Brush Cleaner

Disclaimer: This post contains product(s) provided for my honest review.

Hi!
Today I have a review for you all of the Parian Spirit Brush Cleaner!

Claim: "Parian Spirit is made from citrus spirits and food grade solvents, giving it powerful cleaning properties designed to gently clean, condition and disinfect fine brush hair. This cleaner dissolves all types of makeup products including powder, liquids, wax-based products and adhesive."

Scent: Citrus orange scent. I read that many people felt that the scent of this was overwhelming but though it is strong, I don't find it overwhelming by any means.

Packaging: This brush cleaner comes in a variety of sizes including 2oz, 4oz, 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz, all at affordable prices. There are also the options of wipes, the cleaning jar, and the cleaning kit.

Conclusion: I used this cleaner with the jar (+plastic mesh, as shown in the video demo) on a variety of brushes, synthetic and natural, of various sizes. I suggest rinsing out your brushes as a few of mine became hard. This was a pretty odd reaction since it only happened to 1-3 of different shapes but not to other ones. I'm not sure if the bristles were synthetic or natural due to the brushes not being numbered and coming in a set. Despite this, I noticed that this cleaner got out pigments extremely well, left my brushes smelling fresh, and even removed eye-lash glue! The cleaner did get pretty dirty after all the pigments were washed out but it didn't stop it from cleaning as I continued to swish in dirty brushes.
I definitely recommend giving this cleaner a chance if you're on the market for a good one!

  1. I tried this out a few months ago and it really cleaned the brushes well! The only thing I got tired of was the smell...it smells delicious, but I didn't like it on my brushes! lol. I think I just prefer non-scented cleaners sometimes...I really like the parian system though :D

    1. I agree! I can see how that'd be irritating too since I felt the same way about baby shampoo. Something about it in my brushes just didn't work for me, haha. I think non-scented would be best too, but I agree it cleans super well!

I didn't test it on more than my eye and concealer brushes since that's what needed to be cleaned at the time. Maybe I just didn't have enough bristles for the smell to travel and irritate me? I could see that with a dense brush it may be a more powerful smell.
