Floral Spring Nail Art

Hi lovelies!

Today I have some floral nail art for you. This is actually the first time (that I recall) doing floral pattern nail art and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! I definitely didn't expect it to go so well since I always envisioned it being a blob-infested disaster..

For the first mani I did with this floral nail art, I used LVX Porcelaine, Aster, Lemondrop, Lolli, Avireo, and Viridian. 

As well as La Couleur Couture 1963.

Base: Porcelaine | Yellow & Purple Watercolor: Lemondrop & Aster | Pink: Lolli | Green: Avireo & Viridian | Rose Outline: 1963

For the second mani, I used LVX Porcelaine, Aster, Lemondrop, Lolli, Avireo, Viridian, and Viola. 

La Couleur Couture 1963 was used as previously as well.

Base: Porcelaine | Color Lines: Lemondrop, Aster, Viridian, & Viola.

Lately I've been loving, and seeing other people loving, color blocking and color mixing. I am so in love with the colors that flourish during Spring, something about bright colors and pastels just brightens my mood!

My Easter Mani

Hello, lovelies!
I hope you all had a great Easter filled with lots of food, candy, and loved ones!
Unfortunately for me, I caught strep throat and the (painful) symptoms kicked in on Easter Day.
I'm feeling a lot better now though and hoping everything will clear up since I visited the doctor yesterday and got a very unpleasant penicillin shot in a very unpleasant place.. anyhoooo.

Here is my Easter Mani and a tutorial on how to achieve it. Though it's a little late.. who doesn't love pastels and Easter egg designs?

The Nightmare Before Christmas Nail Art

Hi there ghouls and goblins,

I did a mani based on The Nightmare Before Christmas and figured why not do a video tutorial along with it?

I'm usually all over Halloween nail art, I've been waiting for it all year, so I'm pretty upset I haven't done much of it! I've been busy but hoping I'll have more free time this coming up week so I can really catch up on it.

Spring Into Fall!

I hope you guys have had a great week! I'm so happy that Fall is coming despite it still feeling like the middle of Summer here in Florida. Fall has been my favorite season and I hate that we don't really 'get the season' here. However, that doesn't stop me from loving the colors and fashion trends.

I love doing colorful manis so even though it's soon to be Fall--I'm still stuck in Spring.

Pink & Red Infused Watercolor Nail Art

Haiiiii!

I have another watercolor mani for you today. I absolutely love how the colors look together with this technique. 

It's sort of taken sponging's spot as my favorite. Yeah. Maybe. We'll see how long it lasts.

For this nail art, I used a base of LVX Deco. Over it, I used La CC 1960, 1950, and 1945. 

Lastly, I used LVX Chambord ever so slightly on my ring finger.

Stud Manicure Tutorial with Born Pretty Store Studs

Hello lovelies!

I recently did a stud manicure tutorial which I kind of had no direction for when I started but I ended up really liking the end result! 

It was very simple to do and it has an classy and edgy feel, I believe.

The studs I used for this tutorial are from Born Pretty Store.

They are 1.5mm, which I felt would be too small but ended up being perfect for my nails! If you remember the last time I got studs, they were too big for my nails and ended up looking way too silly!

I had a tough time deciding whether to get round studs or square but I'm more than happy that I chose the round.

The studs seem to be great quality, they're a nice gold color and I haven't noticed any color chipping. I was also able to take these off and reuse them when I was finished with this manicure!

I also used a wax rhinestone pick-up pen from BPS which made the application incredibly easy!

Water Decal Mani w/ La CC Polish

Recently I received a package from Born Pretty Store that contained unexpected random items. Soon I found out that the package was sent to me by mistake, however I offered to review them so that the products weren't a complete waste. Thus, this mani was born! The water decals used can be found here in number BOP192-195.
They were a lot easier to apply than I thought and I'm planning on doing a Youtube tutorial on how to do it because I actually figured it'd be a lot more difficult than it is. So glad it was easy!
The base color I used for this mani is the gorgeous La Couleur Couture 1957.

Review: Born Pretty Store Nail Foil

For the first foil manicure I did, I used LVX Cerulean as my base and the LVX 3-in-1 Treatment to create the tacky surface needed to apply these foils. The foils I used are #6 and #2. LOVING this combination!

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how easily this foil applied, I had thought that it would be more difficult than it actually is. They're extremely vibrant metallic foils that you basically stick on and pull away to get the color.

Below I've included a manicure in which I used #2 along with a video tutorial on how to use the foils! :)

-Apply your color of choice and let it dry completely.

-Apply a clear coat of nail polish and let it dry approximately 50-70%. You want it to be tacky but NOT wet.

-Press on the shiny side of the foil (the non-colorful side) and pull the foil away from the nail.

Raindrop Inspired Nail Art with Watercolor Accent

For this mani, I used Essie Bikini So Teeny for the base on all nails. For the watercolor accent nail, I used LVX Callais, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, and La Couleur Couture 1976. For the rhinestones, I used a nail art wheel from eBay (larger) and the MASH Rhinestone Wheel (smaller) for the "water drops".

I have a lot of swatches coming for you guys! I can't wait to share them with you but I didn't want to leave you with nothing during this busy time. I'm hoping to squeeze in an all watercolor mani in between swatching and maybe even make a video tutorial of it, I'd love make more use out of my YouTube account!

Blue Tips with Glitter Placement

For this mani, I used LVX Fantom for the base, LVX Cerulean for the tips, and green glitter from Born Pretty Store. It was really easy to do and I'm loving the color combination!

Treasure Map Nail Art

Today's post is just a quick one to show some late night nail art I did!

For this design, I used mostly LVX polishes and Born Pretty Store products.
Starting with the base, I applied China Glaze Street Chic and sponged LVX Greige over it. I then used a combination of Greige, Citrine, and Ecru to get the desired look of old textured paper. Next, I used Born Pretty Store's Super Matte Top Coat to mattify the colors. For the details, I used  black acrylic paint with a BPS nail art brush. I also applied a black MASH rhinestone to the center of the compass. For the "X" I used Born Pretty Store's red glitter sheets.
